The king penguin is a species of penguin known by the scientific name Aptenodytes patagnoicus. It is the second largest species of penguin at 70cm to 100cm height with 24lb to 35lb weight. it is found in the south Atlantic. The king penguin eat small fish sometime also with eating the lantern fish and most in the the south ocean predator or on the crustaceans.they giving always over 1000 meters.they breed in sub-antarctic islands between the 45 and 55S,The largest breeding populations are on corset island, with 450000 pair.their average swimming speed is 6.5-10km/h its flightless. As the largest penguin their body measure is 120 cm and the head is struct by the cornea,its,lens, pupal, eye muscle, scrambler, optic nerve,in the body they are built by the right maxillary,right pectoral,cellar,ere renal ,right femoral,Cartwright carotid,left carotid,left maxillary,left bronchial,systemic,left renal gland,left femoral,posterior sentiment as the main structure of the their body part. and it keeps them not scare the cold the heavy fat under their skin.

King penguins eat small fish and squid and rely less than most Southern Ocean predators on krill and other crustaceans. Fish constitute 80–100% of their diet, except in winter months of July and August, when they make up only 30%.The king penguin is able to breed at three years of age, although only a very small minority (5% recorded at Crozet Islands) actually do so like that. Using the average swimming speed, Kooyman estimated the distance traveled to foraging areas at 28 km (17 mi).

king penguins feed on small fish or the squid kinda animal as food during the dives that average is like about 10-20 meter during the summer time.in the winter time king penguins forage deeper in the ocean during this hard time for them foraging dives last from 5 minutes to over 90 minutes.king penguins are the species animal infrequent feeders.mostly they are foraging 2 weeks in every time. sometime also depends on their body weight. their walking is kinda fast in 4 miles per hour about and they're loving living as group.in the age three through eight years old the penguin is mature enough to starting mating,after the mating, the female emperor or king penguin will lay a single egg all other species of the penguin lay two eggs.the chick are hatch they using their beaks to break the shell of their eggs.

Relationship with humans

Description

Considered a flagship species, 176 individuals were counted in captivity in North American zoos and Aquarius in 1999. The species has been bred in captivity at Sea World San Diego. The species is exhibited at Sea World Orlando, Indianapolis Zoo, Lala the Penguin became a viral video star after an Animal Planet special featured him venturing to a nearby market in Japan to fetch a fish with a specially made backpack.

The king penguin is also the species of penguin represented by the popular character Pondus, an image found on various paraphernalia in many retail stores throughout Canada. Ponds originates in Danish children's books written and photographed by Ivar Myrhøj and published in 1997 by Lademann publisher in the late 1960s. These penguins appeared in the production of Batman Returns.
