Known Bugs

The administration knows about the following malfunctions of Semantic MediaWiki and has reported them to its developers. Any editor having any quality-assurance concern regarding Semantic MediaWiki function or performance is invited to use the Talk page of this article to share such concern. An administrator will investigate and, if necessary, pass the concern along to the SMW development team.

Inline query tables display raw number values of numeric properties

Code such as: <ask format=table mainlabel=Name default="This body has no satellites"> Primary::Earth Periapsis::* Apoapsis::* Planet mass::* Surface area::* </ask>

produces numbers in black followed by numbers in yellow, with no space between them. The numbers in black are raw numbers. The yellow text is actually a good result: by moving your mouse cursor over it, you can get the values displayed in the prescribed units for that data type. But the presence of the raw numbers makes this result singularly unattractive.--TemlakosTalk 19:35, 11 January 2008 (EST)

RESOLUTION: Everyone clear your browser's cache if you still see this happening. You shouldn't have to do this more than once, but if you do, the instruction is simple. From MediaWiki:Clearyourcache: Mozilla / Firefox / Safari: hold down Shift while clicking Reload, or press Ctrl-Shift-R (Cmd-Shift-R on Apple Mac); IE: hold Ctrl while clicking Refresh, or press Ctrl-F5; Konqueror:: simply click the Reload button, or press F5; Opera users may need to completely clear their cache in Tools→Preferences.--TemlakosTalk 07:48, 14 January 2008 (EST)

Inline query code suppresses display of references

The above code, when used in an article, suppresses the display of inline-coded references tagged with according to the format of the Cite extension.--TemlakosTalk 19:35, 11 January 2008 (EST)

 1. Place inline queries below ther <references/> tag. References will still display and will not interfere with the query.
 2. Recast the query in format, place it in a template, and then include the template in your article, wherever you choose. This will not interfere with the display of references.--TemlakosTalk 14:48, 16 January 2008 (EST)
