EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed, is a film by Ben Stein released in April 2008. Ben realizes that he has been “Expelled,” and that educators and scientists are being ridiculed, denied tenure and even fired – for the “crime” of merely believing that there might be evidence of “design” in nature, and that perhaps life is not just the result of accidental, random chance.

His heroic and, at times, shocking journey confronting the world’s top scientists, educators and philosophers, regarding the persecution of the many by an elite few. Ben travels the world on his quest, and learns an awe-inspiring truth…that bewilders him, then angers him…and then spurs him to action!

At issue is not creationism per se, but the closely related but still distinct movement called Intelligent Design. In this film, Ben Stein documents the deliberate efforts by many evolutionists to suppress all discussion of Intelligent Design, through interviews with evolutionists themselves and a rich sample of their own words. Many of these evolutionists blur the distinction between Intelligent Design and creationism (though leaders of both movements hasten to add that they are not the same).

Budgeted at 3.5 million dollars, as of May 1st, 2008 it has made over 5.9 million dollars.
