David Noebel

Dr. David A. Noebel is a former college president and one time candidate for the U.S Congress. He is currently the acting President of Summit Ministries, which he founded to help prepare the next generation of Christian leaders. Dr. Noebel is perhaps best known for his work in worldview study, and morality and spirituality in western cultures.

Education

Dr. David Noebel attended Milwaukee Bible College, Hope College, The University of Wisconsin, and The University of Tulsa. Noebel was a Ph.D. candidate in philosophy at the University of Wisconsin. He holds a B.A. from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and a M.A. from the University of Tulsa.

Work/Ministry

Dr. David Noebel founded Summit Ministries located in Manitou Springs, Colorado in 1962. Summit is a place to learn from a Christian stand-point; that gives people the information to respond with current Christian culture. Through this organization many teen have come back to the Christian live after straying away into the world.

The mission of Summit is to:

  • ground Christians in their faith
  • equip them to defend the biblical worldview
  • prepare tomorrows servant leaders

For Summit to reach these goals it holds student, adult conferences and a summit semester that is educational college semester for Christian students. Dr. Noebel is the current ministry president. He is the editor of Summit’s monthly, journal, also the author, editor, speaker and curriculum producer.

He was a pastor of Grace Bible Church in Madison, Wisconsin. Also he was president and professor of Biblical Studies at America Christian College in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Noebel has been on many radio and television shows to further his outreach to the Christian communities. Some of the programs he has been on include: The 700 Club, Focus on the Family, Truths that Transform, Point of View, Today’s Issues, the Moody Broadcasting Network, the AFA Network, and The Josh McDowell Program.

Interests

Dr. Noebel is a member of the America Philosophical Association, Southwestern philosphocal Society, International Platform Association, and the Council for National Policy.

Noebel and his wife Alice, live in Manitou Springs, Colorado. They have two children and five grandchildren.
