Aluminum sulfate is a chemical compound represented by the molecular formula Al2(SO4)3can be referred to by other names such as Cake alum, Filter alum, Papermaker's alum, Alunogenite, and aluminum salt (3:2). Appearance of Aluminum sulfate shows white crystalline solid hygroscopic. In addition, Aluminum sulfate is used in various ways such as water flocculation, manufacturing of clothes, and tanners. However, it is really harmful for our bodies. Therefore, when someone uses it, they need to handle with care.
It is hygroscopic (a substance tending to absorb water from the air). When Aluminum Sulfate put into water, it can be soluble. However, when it is put into alcohol, it can be insoluble.  In addition, it has non volatility and flammability.  When the temperatures increase above 770 degrees, Aluminum Sulfate degrades to aluminum oxide, becomes toxic, and causes corrosion with gas.  Aluminum Sulfate has high acidity. When this compound combines with water, the pH (a solution indicates how acid or alkaline the solution is. A pH of less than 7 indicates that it is an acid, and a pH of more than 7 indicates that it is an alkali) appears less than 2. This result can burn human skin, and metals can be corroded. 
Synthesis / Occurrences
When a mixture of aluminum sulfate, sodium hydroxide, and aluminum nitrate is applied with heat by microwave, the synthesis of basic aluminum sulfate is made. Microwaves use heat because it helps for the reaction and modulates different temperature. After these processes, the products identified by electronic microscopy for scanning and X-ray diffraction(a deviation in the direction of a wave at the edge of an obstacle in its path). Through the reaction conditions, morphological and crystallographic assay in basic aluminum sulfate, boehmite, or a mixture of both products. Also, another way to make aluminum sulfate that alumina tri-hydrate dissolves into the sulfuric acid in water. It produces excellent quality of aluminum sulfate.
Aluminum Sulfate is used various ways in uses. One of the processes of water flocculation is in common use. When Aluminum Sulfate adds into the polluted water, the pollution things go down to the bottom. Therefore, it can be easily eliminated from the polluted water. Then the clean water used in the entire world. Also, the Aluminum Sulfate is used in the manufacture of clothes. When fabrics need to be fixed, the Aluminum Sulfate is used in there as a fixative. Because the synthetic dyestuff mostly doesn’t need to be fixed, but mineral dyes or natural cannot maintain their color in the fabrics. Through this point, many of artists use the Aluminum Sulfate to fix their creation. Most of tanners use mixtures of aluminum sulfate, which are contained with sodium carbonate, sodium chloride and flour. When the mixtures already made into the paste, it spread on the dry skins. The paste helped to stay on the skin at least 24 hours before scraped off paste or spread again because mixtures of sulfate things have effects as prevent skins and a preservative. In addition, the Aluminum sulfate powder uses in the balancing of soil pH problems. It can be explained by flowers of hydrangea. When their soil is poorly nourished, they apply the Aluminum sulfate powder in the soil. After that, the soil is nourished, flowers of hydrangea change color.
Dangers of using Aluminum sulfate and first aid
When someone uses Aluminum sulfate powder, they need to handle with care. The Aluminum sulfate powder has to keep in air tight containers and, it should be stayed dry and cool condition. This product needs to protect and avoid by any damages. Also, it needs to keep away from any incombustible material things. Aluminum sulfate stays powdery substance in air condition, but when it applies with water, it becomes slimy. If Aluminum sulfate changes slimy condition, people need to avoid it because it can be caused health hazards. 
Aluminum sulfate is harmful for our body. If someone breathes in it, they get a fit of coughing and breathing problem. In first aid for breathing problem, they need to move away clean area and breathe in fresh air. If Aluminum sulfate touches skin or eyes, it brings on redness, itchiness, feel pain or irritation. In this case, they need to wash injured area 15 minutes with water. If someone eating it, they get irritate the stomach and intestine. Therefore, it approaches vomit and diarrhea. In this case, they need to drink a glass of milk for provoke vomiting.
